Pathology means diagnosing any cancer in any patient. Pathology is the study of disease, and a major field in modern medicine and diagnosis. The term can be used broadly by saying pathology is just the study of any disease, but it is so much more than just studying the disease itself, Pathologists are determined to diagnose the problem and hopefully find some type of cure, or medicine, to help bring the disease to a halt. Pathology addresses four components of disease; cause/etiology, mechanisms of development (pathogenesis), structural alterations of cells (morphologic changes), and the consequences of changes (clinical manifestations).
