These flashcards will help you review and identify the general anatomy of the abdomen, as well as identify organs which reside in the abdomen on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. By the time you have completed this course, you will be able to identify following: the liver, hepatic vein, hepatic (or the right colic) flexure, transverse colon splenic (or left colic) flexure, stomach, small intestine, cecum, sigmoid, wing of ilium (or ala), and urinary bladder. You will also be able to identify the anatomical division of the abdomen such as the differences between the right and left hypochondriac and ilium.
The timely identification of the anatomy of the abdomen will aid you in the understanding of the human body and therefore increase your diagnostic ability when encountered with problems involving the abdomen. We hope that these flashcards aid you in your education. Please see the full set of trivia for more information!
