Multipe lesions blending together

Flat discoloration less than 1 cm in diameter ex: freckles, petechiae, flan nevi (moles)

Circumscribed area of skin edema, compressible papule of plaque. red, axon-mediated flare often surround is, commonly assosiated with allergic reaction ex: PPD test and mosquito bites

Narrow linear crack into epidermis, exposing deris

Vesicle-like lesion with purulent content ex: acne, impetigo

Large macule, flat discoloration greate than 1 cm in diameter ex: mongolian sot, cafee au lait spot

Raised lesion, larger than 1 cm, may be same or different color from the surrounding skin ex: psoriasis

Netlike cluster

Loss of epidermis and dermis

Loss of skin markings and full skin thickness

Skin thickening usually found over pruritic or friction areas

In a ring formation

Small, solid, elevated lesion. less than 1 cm ex: ant bite, elevated nevus (mole), verruca (wart)

A circumscribed elevation f the skin, contains serous fluid, less than 1 cm ex: herpes simplex, varicella (chicken pox) herpes zoster (shingles)

Solid mass of skin, observed as an elevation or can be palpated, over 1 cm. often extends into the dermis ex: xanthoma, fibroma
