Id-pure instinct that focuses on needs and pleasure. Super Ego- the conscience of the mind that wants you to always do the right thing. Ego-the decision maker between Id and Super Ego that decides actions and tries to comprimise with both sides

What is the types of the Defense Mechanism?
|
Repression, Reaction Formation, Displacement, Fixation, Regression, Projection, Introjection, Sublimation

What is Repression?
|
Hiding feelings or "bottling up on the inside." Hiding emotions or behaviors
|
What is Reaction Formation?
|
Hates someone but acts nice to someone's face
|
What is Displacement?
|
Example: dont bring your problems to work....redirect anger and feeling on another outlet
|
What is Fixation?
|
When the thought of making the next step in life makes us too anxious we stay in our current state and dont proceed.....Example: "I wont Grow up, I just wanna be a kid."

What is Regression?
|
Example: Mid life Crisis.....when in extreme forms of stress a person my revert back to a developmental stage that feels safer
|
What is Projection?
|
Trying to push people away before they get too close
|
What is Introjection?
|
Collecting positive traits of another person into their won personality

What is Sublimation?
|
Using the arts as an outlet
|
What are the stages of development?
|
Infantile, latency, genital, maturity
|
