What are the four characteristics of living things we discussed?
Living things are cells, multicellular or cellular, organized into levels of biological organization, have emergent properties where characteristics that the previous level did not show, the next level will have more characteristics, Form Follows Function.
Describe how things are “organized “within a cell
Organized –Living things are cells or made up of cells and the cells are organized. Molecules are organized into organelles, organelles into organs, organs into organ systems, systems into organisms, organisms into populations, populations into communities, communities into ecosystems, and ecosystems into our biome, our world.
What are “emergent properties”?
It means that each level of the biological organization can do more things than the previous level.
