Forest

I begin walking on a path through a forest. The path is soft beneath my shoes, a mixture of soil, fallen leaves, pine needles, and moss. As I walk along clean crisp air fills my nose and I Breathe in the fresh mountain air, filling my lungs completely feeling refreshed and revitalised. I can also smell the damp cool air of the forest surroundings.

The air is cool as I walk but comfortable enough to only wear a t shirt. The Sun filters through the trees, making a moving scattered pattern along the path. The small glimpses of sun are warm on my back. There is a gentle breeze blowing and I can hear birds and animals making noise to form a beautiful chorus. In the distance I can hear the calming sound of a raging waterfall spilling over rocks cascading down a river.

As I continue to walk along the forest path it begins to turn into a slight incline up. The breeze continues to blow through the treetops above me but the air is still and calm around me.

Small trees and sprawling ferns line the path guiding the way through the forest. All around is the refreshing sights and smells of nature there’s many shades of green dappled across the various plants and trees scattered throughout the surroundings. Many trees have needles and different shaped leaves that look very soft and very green. The forest floor is thick in rich soil and vibrant growing moss.

Tall trees stand staggered throughout the forest all with different appearances Some have smooth, white bark. Others are darker, with coarse, heavy bark.

I can smell the forest around me The air is fresh, and filled with the scent of trees, soil, and mountain streams.As i near the top of the mountain the path curves up ahead. I can see sunlight streaming onto the path beaming warmth and sunshine.

As I round a corner I can see a clearing in the trees up ahead. A beautiful lookout point among the trees and foliage waits. The viewing platform extends out off a small cliff and opens up wide to a large engrossing view. The platform has a beautifully carved seat made out of a smooth rock

. Looking around, I can see mountains in the distance Faint and blue towering up into the horizon. Breathing in a deep breath of fresh air I look down among the forest floor from my high view point and take notice of the hive of activity taking place. Animals are playing, birds are singing and rivers are bubbling along. The forest is alive

Feeling tired from my long walk to the lookout I sit down and reflect on the beauty I have encountered on my walk through the forest and feel relaxed and comforted by the sights surrounding me. With the warm sun casting down on me and a gentle breeze dashing across my cheek I drift off silently to sleep in the middle of a picturesque forest.
