Introduction (Attention Getter) I. We have always associated girls with pink, and boys with blue. Has anyone ever wondered why this started? Well I'm here to tell you. II. In the 19th century babies, and toddlers were actually dressed in white dresses no matter what their gender was. At one point pink and blue weren't considered gender-specific colors. They were seen as colors for children in general. III. In the 1800's pink and blue began to be associated with gender but there was no agreement paper ever stating as to which color symbolized which gender. Some say that it was different depending on which country you were in. In France it was a trend for girls to wear pink. IV. The next century came around and increasing infant development encourage parents to distinguish their children's gender. Many manufactures saw this as a great opportunity to make money. If a couple has a girl, and then a boy they cannot hand down their siblings clothes so they would have to buy double!

" said GQ magazine They also suggest that wearing darker color such as navy balances the pinks bright hue. II. You can pick a pink shade at random since pink suits most skin tones but different shades can change your look. Transition: Now that I have explained how you can wear it I will now explain how wearing pink can make a man look and feel. Body: I. Men for years have refused to wear pink saying that it was "weird" and "not manly" since it has been identified as a girls color. It sounds silly but it is very true. I have looked very hard to figure out how it makes men feel. Unfortunately I couldn't find a males opinion but I think a women's opinion would be more influential to men. No offense gentlemen. Jocelyn Chia a Lawyer in NY says "I have been saying that “real men wear pink,” because wearing the color feels like it is a sign that they are comfortable and confident enough with their masculinity and sexuality that they are open to wear a traditionally feminine color. So I often find it dead sexy when a man wears pink especially if he can carry it off." If I was a man I would go home and change quickly and hurry up and find Jocelyn.
