How is malaria transmitted to humans?
Through a bite from a female anopholes mosquito
What is meant by "malaria endemic"?
This refers to areas where the numbers of Malaria cases remains relatively constant through out all seasons.

What are the phases of Malaria infection?
1. Prepatent : between sporozoite inoculation and parasite detection in blood.
2. Incubation: between infection and symptoms
3. Paroxysms : cyclical manifestations of symptoms as a result of invasion of blood by new merozoites
4. Periodicity: regular recurrence of paroxysms
5. Relape: recurrence of parasites from hypnozoites
6. Recrudescence: renewed infection due to survival of rbc forms.
