What are the three types of connective tissue?

Loose, dense, and specialized

2.) adipose: similar to above but has a high concentration of fat.

-can always be associated with muscle

A ligament is
-an elastic fiber
-join bone to bone, bone to cartilage, and cartilage to cartilage

Describe what fascia is
|
Is a very thin type of DCT-usually found in the form of membranous sheets, covers broad areas

Describe what reticular tissue is
|
-type of DCT
-extends in all directions to join neighboring cells
-forms supporting network for lymph nodes and liver (hammock)

What is connective tissue
|
Tissues which connect or bind structures together, support the body and aid in bodily maintenance

-some small cartilages of larynx

-type of SCT
-found in some joints of body
-intervertebral discs of vertebral column

-dense & spongy
