Slides/Navigation Pane
|
The pane on the left side of the screen, showing thumbnail image of each slide in the presentation.

Slide Pane
|
The main editing pane for a slide; where you create and edit contents of the active slide
|
Notes Pane
|
The pane where you type notes to yourself or other authors or delivers of the presentation. Notes do not display to the audience, and do not print unless you specify that you want to print them.

Normal View
|
The default view where you create and edit slides. It consists of three panes; navigation pane, slide pane and notes pane.

Outline View
|
Shows your slide text in outline form. This allows you to quickly edit your slide text and view the content of multiple slides at once.

Slide Sorter view
|
Displays multiple miniature or thumbnail version of each slide on the screen. Use this view to rearrange or sort your slides.

Notes Page view
|
Allows you to add text, or graphics to speaker notes.
|
Reading View
|
View the show in full screen so you can view the contents of each slide in a way similar to how your audience will view it.

Slide Master View
|
a special feature in PowerPoint that allows you to quickly modify the slides and slide layouts in your presentation. You can use a master slide to add items that repeat on each slide with a certain layout, such as a company logo, background color, slide title color or size.

Transition
|
It is a movement effect between one slide and another;

Animation
|
It is a movement effect of a particular object on a slide.
|
