The weather vane consists of a pointed with a large rear end . moving air exerts pressure on the arrows and the pointed arrow shows direction of wind flow . it helps us to identify from which direction the wind is coming and to which direction it is going . it is fixed over a building and has north , south , east and west directions

Wind is caused due to the heat of the sun . when a place gets heated by the sun the air above it also becomes hot .the hot air being lighter than the surrounding cold air. it moves up . to fill in this space ,cooler and denser air flows from the neighbouring areas .this causes the wind to flow

The low pressure is created between the two balloons . the high pressure outside the balloon is more making the balloons to come closer to each other

A ir exerts pressure on all the things . when high speed winds are blown they blow off the air from that area thus creating a low pressure in that area . a low pressure is caused when there is lesser amount of air molecules and high pressure is created when there are more amount of air molecules in that area.this can be proved with the balloon demonstration

Whe the high speed winds are blown during storms it blows the wind thus creating low pressure on the roof and under the roof the air exerts high pressure . this imbalance in pressure causes the roof to fly

The more the difference between the two points the faster is the wind flow .as the pressure increases the velocity also increases

The wind always move from high pressure to the low pressure region . the temperature near the equator is high than near the poles . this is due to the direct sunlight received by the area near the equator.high temperature means low pressure area and low temperature means high pressure area

Tornado is the most violent small scale storms on earth it is mostly formed on the land . it proceeds in a rotating column and extend from the surface to the thunder cloud.it is not as destructive as cyclone wheras cyclone causes lot of damages across the world . it is because it happens in the seawhich generate high waves and washes away everything which comes on its way by accompanied by rain which causes flood and damage people's belonging and farm land

Indian has coastline on its east and west side. the states lying on theses coastlines are vulnerable to cyclones and cyclones.it has been observed that the east coast of india are more vulnerable to cyclones than the western coast . high intensity cyclone frequently it the eastern coast of India

1. always stay inside your houses during storms,do not go outside for fun 2. secure windows and doors and stay away from them 3. donot touch electric switches and broken wires 4. store enough food for emergency 5. cooperate and help your neighbour 6. keep battery operated torch or candles and matchstick with you

The flood water contain alkaline in it.when it enters the farmland it affects the fertility of the soil.

It is true because now a dys satellites and radar keep track of the information and movement of cyclones and thunderstorm. warnings are issued well in advance so that people can take preventive measures.

Cyclone kill hundreds of people living in coastal areas.it affect the fertility of the soil because the flood water contain alkaline that enters the farmland The transport system is also badly affected as flood water covers the railway tracks and roads List some safety measure taken by the government during cyclone? Warning system should be developed to forecast thunderstorm and cyclones Information about the storm should be conveyed to people at the earliest Fishermen should not go to the sea People living in low lying areas and coastline should be shifted to safer places Food storage should be made waterproof Enough drinking water should be stored safe for future use

It means Indian meteorological department. It provides current and forecast information for weather sensitive activities like agriculture , irrigation , shipping etc.it also warn against natural disaster like cyclones.heavy rain, snow etc

If we keep a heavy object on our palm we feel it is giving pressure on our palm.if we can swim we know that the pressure of water on our body increases as we go deeper.similarly air surrounding on the earth’s surface exert pressure on it.
