A wheel spreader bar (SPC part number 99918) ($71.88) . This bar is spring loaded and applies a pre-determined amount of pressure to the front wheels for toe measurement. Do not attempt a toe setting if this bar is not available.

Clamps with hub pins are to be used when aligning a Mercedes Benz vehicle. AC200 are also accepted but not preferred.

Ensure that the rear slip plates have no restriction. The last step in a Mercedes Benz wheel alignment is to re-measure caster. Any friction in the rear slip plates may affect the final measurement and posted readings.

Mercedes Benz equipment is much more sensitive than regular commercial brand of wheel alignment equipment. Follow all the steps, don't rush. Average wheel alignment time on an MB is 2 hours.

Mercedez Benz wheel aligners have a gravity gauge mounted on the camera beam. When performing a routine service, use of single bar calibration apparatus is mandatory along with the gravity gauge.
