The property statement that means that the value is equal to itself. Ex: x=x or 5=5 |
Symmetric Property

A property of Equality that means if something is equal to something else it would be equal vice versa Ex: a=b then b=a |
Transitive Property
|
A property pf equality that means if Ex: If a=b and b=c then a=c |
Substitution Property
|
Property that lets you change out quantities for each other into an expression as long as they are equal. |
Distributive Property
|
A property where you distribute one number to all others. Ex: 2 (X+2) = 5X + 5 x 2 |
Supplementary
|
Two angles that equal 180 degrees. Usually in triangles |
Complementary
|
Two angles that equal 90 degrees / A right angle |
Vertical angles
|
Opposite angles made by two touching lines. |
Parallel Lines
|
Lines that are perfectly side by side and would never touch even if they went on forever. |
