1. Training.-exxercise with purpose of conditioning the body. 2. Health-related exercise. Develop and maintain your body, disease free. 3. Therapeutic exercise- restore and rehab previous injury.

A form of physical activity in which skilled movement is performed in order to achieve a goal in a manner specified by established rules.
Developmental skills
Performed in non-sport settings; rules and competition are irrelevant.

A characteristic of humanity that encompasses the mind, emotions, body, and spirit.

Teaches us about changes as wel as stability in the past, which helps us understandt he past as well as the present and make reasonable decisions for the future.

Rise of the modern sport occured during the industrial revolution- when American societies shifted away from agricultural and local economies toward city based industries (science and technology).

Finding sources of evidence. Workout videos, books, articles. Primary scources meaning they were produced in the society and time period being studied.

Who authored the piece of literature and when was it written.
