They are Prokaryotaes. Can reproduce rapidly within the body. Often cause immune responses. Not all pathogens. Can release toxic waste.
Give a discription of how Viruses work
Viruses invade cells and take them over, and take over genetic machinery. cause the cell to manufacture more copies of the virus.
Give an example of illnesses viruses cause
Common cold, influenza, HIV/AIDS, tobacco mosaic virus (TMV).
Give two examples of Bacteria and the illnesses they cause
Cholera- Vibrio cholerae and TB- Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
What is a pathagon?
An organism that causes disease.
What is a paracite
An organism that lives on or in another organism, the host, and takes nutrient from it, they may or may not cause disease
What is the difference between a pathagon and a paricite?
Pathogens cause disease, not all paracites cause disease. Paracites gains nutrition from host. Pathogens dont.
