-sex distinctions in humans carried to a harmful extreme due to women no longer living in the natural environment of economic pursuit but instead living in the artificial environment of the home that has been established by men
-women have been changed both physically & sexually by evolution so that they can better survive under patriarchy

-occur when sex relations & economic relations overlap fundamentally-women's workforce production limited->structures of economy & family are confounded, sex distinctions between men & women accentuated & unbalanaced, sex becomes pathologically important to people, women become consumers par excellence, men are alienated from their work
