What is a point? (3)

- Has no size and dimension.
- An indicator of position. - Usually represented by a dot and named with a CAPITAL letter. |
What is a line? (3)
|
- A set of infinite points extending without end in both directions
- Does not have any width, but has indefinite length. - Usually named by any of it's two points or by using an italicized small letter. |
What is a plane? (3)
|
- A flat surface with no thickness that extends without end in all directions.
- Has NO BOUNDARIES usually pictured by a four sided polygon - You can name a plane by either a single italicized capital letter or by at least three of it's non collinear points. |
What is space? (2)

- The set of all points.
- The only thing that could divide the space is a PLANE. |

What are coplanar points? What is the line called to seperate it?

- Set of points that lie on the same plane.
- Points on a plane can be seperated into 3 sets of points by a line. - The line is called EDGE and both sides of the line are called REGIONS or HALF PLANES. |
What are collinear points?

- Set of points that lie on the same line.
- A point on a line can seperate the line into 3 sets of points. - Chosen point (C), The points on both sides of C are called HALF LINES. |
