Public Announcement
The public address system on board an aircraft; or the announcements given to passengers using the PA system
Walk Around
The exterior inspection of the aircraft by a flight crewmember during preflight and after landing.
Weight & Balance
The placement of passengers and baggage to keep the aircraft balance.
Carry-Out Cart

Ramp/Tarmac
The area in front of the terminal where the aircraft is parked
Unaccompanied Minor (UM)
A child between the ages of 5-12 that is flying alone.
Captain (CA)
The pilot responsible for all the crewmembers and passengers who sits on the left side.
Carrier
A company involved in the transportation of people.
Trip Pairing
A series of flights that when grouped together make a flight sequence.
Cabin Altitude
Simulated altitude (pressurization) maintained in the cabin of an aircraft.
Ballast
Adding more weight to keep the aircraft balanced.
