Labia Majora:

Two longitudinal folds of skin.
run downward and backward from mons pubis. joined anteriorly by anterior labila commissure. Homologus to scrotum in males. Outer surface is covered with pigmented skin, and after puberty, labia majora are covered with hair. contains terminations of round ligaments of uterus. |
Labia Minora:

Hairless; No fat
divided into: 1. upper (lateral) above clitoris fuse to form prepuce of clitoris 2. lower (medial) fuse below clitoris form the frenulum of clitoris |

opening for urethra, vagina, and ducts of greater vestibular glands in floor |
Clitoris

I. homologous to penis (males).
ii. consists of erectile tissue. iii. enlarged as a result of engorgement with blood--not perforated by urethra iv. consists of: 1. Crura (2x) 2. Corpora Cavernosa (2x) 3. Glans v. no corpus spongiosum vi. Glans clitoris--derived from corpora cavernosa. vii. Covered by sensistive epithelium. |
Bulbs of vestibule:

1. homologue of bulb of penis
2. paired mass of erectile tissue on each side of vaginal orifice 3. covered by bulbospongiosus muscle 4. each bulb is connected to undersurface of clitoris. |
