FCP X - Organization

I have a feeling that this chapter in The Focal Easy Guide to Final Cut Pro X is geared toward hugely more complex projects than the simple ones I do.  The longest video I've done in years is the half-hour one on the contemporary Christian music group Joyful Noise.  Were I do have done it in FCP X rather than FCP 6 I might have created Events for each of the performances I taped, and another for their meetings, and another for their interviews.  But it was a pretty simple movie compared to, say, a chapter in "Cosmos."  SO - the flash cards below may be more than I'll ever need, but I won't know for sure until I slog through the whole 33-page chapter.

Answer 2
Keyword Collections are the same media imported into Events but organized into more defined and easily accessed areas.

Answer 3

Question 4

The bigger question is why would you want to? This iMac has 2 terabytes of storage. But if you have a reason to store elsewhere highlight the Library in the Browser, then open the Inspector where you'll see Storage Locations and next to it Modify Settings.
Question 5
What is the book's author's opinion about external hard drive storage?
Answer 5
He thinks all media related to the Library should be kept in a folder on the same drive as the Library. If it's external and you lose it, you're screwed.

Answer 6
Sure. A given filmmaker might be working simultaneously on a training video, a documentary, a commercial, etc.

Answer 7
Edited Timelines are called Projects.
