What are the Security Forces General Orders?
|
1. I will take charge of my post and protect all personnel and property for which I am responsible until properly relieved.
2. I will report all violations of orders I am entrusted to enforce and will call my superior in any case not covered by instruction 3. I will sound the alarm in case of disorder or emergency |
What are the response times for patrols?
|
Response time for AOR is 3 minutes, for back up patrols it is 5 minutes. Patrol response will be dictated by Response Priority Chart when multiple alarms are present.

INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM RESTRICTED AREA DEFICIENY/ COMPENSATORY MEASURES:

MISSION:
Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Requirements: The Restricted Area is required to have an intrusion detection system assigned to PL3 resources. DEFICIENY: Presently we do not have an IDS capability for the restricted area. COMPENSATORY MEASURES: The restricted area has a dedicated mobile patrol to provide immediate armed response to the re-sources. Physical security checks of the boundary are conducted on a continuous basis. We presently have 6 closed circuit televisions (CCVTs) that assist in the observation of the avenues of approach to the restricted area. The ISRT or sentry when posted is able to provide 360 degree surveillance in concert with our alarm monitor posted in the Base Defense Operations Center. The posted sentry is also equipped with an AN/PVS 14 night vision device and binoculars (issued at SF Armory). |
CLEAR ZONE RESTRICTED AREA DEFICIENY/ COMPENSATORY MEASURES:

MISSION:
Clear Zone Specifications: There must be at least 30 feet on both sides of a single boundary barrier. DEFICIENCY: we do meet the exterior clear zone specifications for the restricted area. Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) frequently parks vehicles and equipment within the free zone. MOC must authorize the vehicles and equipment within the free zone. COMPENSATORY MEASURES: The restricted area has a dedicated mobile patrol to provide immediate armed response to the re-sources. Physical security checks of the boundary are conducted on a continuous basis. We presently have 6 closed circuit televisions that assist in the observation of the avenues of approach to the restricted area. The posted sentry is able to provide 360 degree surveillance in concert with our alarm monitor posted in the Base Defense Operations Center. The posted sentry is also equipped with an AN/PVS 14 night vision device and binoculars. |
ESRT/ISRT RESTRICTED AREA DEFICIENY/ COMPENSATORY MEASURES:

MISSION:
Internal Security Response Team requires two (2) personnel. External Security Response Team requires two (2) personnel. DEFICIENY: NGB funding for manpower does not allow 2 personnel post to be met. COMPENSATORY MEASURES: Physical security checks of the boundary are conducted on a continuous basis. We presently have 6 closed circuit televisions that assist in the observation of the avenues of approach to the restricted area. The posted sentry is able to provide immediate visual assessments in concert with our alarm monitor posted in the Base Defense Operations Center. . The ESRT provides surveillance and actively patrols the clear zones around the Restricted Area. |
RESTRICTED AREA LIGHTING DEFICIENY/ COMPENSATORY MEASURES:

MISSION:
Lighting requirements for Permanent Restricted Areas: Installations must provide sufficient area lighting to detect intruders before they reach and damage protected resources. Restricted Area Boundary Lighting: When restricted areas are fenced and security systems are designed to detect intruders at the boundary, different levels of light are used depending on the mode of Initial Visual Assessment, which is a combination of camera surveillance and patrols on scene. DEFICIENY: Flightline restricted area has inadequate lighting to support normal or contingency operations and lights out on both towers. COMPENSATORY MEASURES: The restricted area has a dedicated mobile patrol to provide immediate armed response to the re- sources. Physical security checks of the boundary are conducted on a continuous basis. We presently have 6 closed circuit televisions that assist in the observation of the avenues of approach to the restricted area. The posted sentry is able to provide 360 degree surveillance in concert with our alarm monitor posted in the Base Defense Operations Center. Personnel subject to this AFI, to include military, civilian, and contractor personnel, will use only that force which is objectively reasonable to accomplish their duties in conformity with the Constitution of the United States, federal statutes, and DoD policy.

Define Objectively Reasonable
|
Force may be used by personnel subject to this AFI 31-117 while conducting authorized missions or official duties to gain control of an individual or individuals to meet lawful objectives or mission requirements. These lawful objectives include, but are not limited to searches, seizures, and apprehensions; defense of assets vital to national security or inherently dangerous; preventing a person from self-injury; conducting protective detail operations; preventing prisoner escapes; dissolving riots and other forms of civil unrest when directed by proper authority; maintaining good order and discipline; and overcoming resistance to lawful orders. Refer to AFI 31-117 Arming and Use of Force by Air Force Personnel.
