The Dwelling Policy
Is primarily used to insure private residential property that is not occupied by its owner, such as rental property, or private residential property that is occupied by its owner but does not qualify for a Homeowners policy because of age, value, location, or some combination thereof.
Private residential properties
Insured under a Dwelling Policy ordinarily have less restrictive eligibility requirements to be met than properties insured under a Homeowners policy.
Eligibility for Dwelling Policy
Dwelling muyst be used principally for dwelling purposes and may not have more than 4 apartment units, and not more than 5 roomers or boarders in total
