|
Necessary components of the speech; these include the goals of the speech, time limitations, and expectations of the audience

This includes the audience’s knowledge, attitude and interest in the topic

What are the two types of audience backgrounds
|
A. indirect- assumptions, NOT stereotypes (ex. A person smells= body odor)
b. direct- the speaker asks to get personal information (ex. Interview) |
What are the two types of Resources (support material)
|
A. Speaker- personal information (ex. Narrative/Experience)
b. Outside- someone else’s experience or knowledge (ex. Books/Journals) |

Size of space, levels of light, casual or business setting, all affect the choices for delivery or visual aides
