English Colonial Government (How it worked)?

British Crown ------> Royal Governor (appointed by crown, oversaw colonial trade, had final approval on laws, could dismiss colonial assembly) ------> Council (appointed by gov, advisory board to gov, acted as highest court in each colony) OR Colonial Assembly (made laws, had authority by tax, paid gov. salary, elected by eligible colonists)
