The plants and animals which died million of years ago were gradually buried deep in the earth and got covered with sentiments like mud and sand.in absence of air,the chemical effects of heat ,pressure and bacteria convert the the remains into fossil fuels.remains of large land plants were converted into coal and remains of small marine plants were converted into petroleum and natural gas
