What is the difference between Natural Passive Immunity and Artificial Passive Immunity? (these are the two forms of passive immunity)
Natural passive is immunity transferred from a mother to her nursing child. Last 6months to 1 year.

Active passive is immunity transferred from the serum of an animal or another human. These Ig's last 2-3 weeks.
What is the difference between medical and surgical asepsis?
Medical asepsis is clean technique, and it involoves reducing the # of organisms.

Surgical asepsis is sterile technique, and it involves eliminating all the organisms.

What is an antipyretic?
A medication used to relieve fever. examples: SSA, Acetaminophen, IBU, naproxin (pyrexia = fever)
What is an iatrogenic infection?
It is a form of nosocomial infection, it results form a treatment or diagnostic procedure.
Just a note to help: when hand washing interlace the fingers and use a paper towel to grasp the handle of a hand operated faucet, also keep the hands higher than the elbow during hand washing

What is reverse or protective isolation?
Isolation that protects the patient from disease, not protecting the community from the patient. Used in immunocompromised patients.
