Internal: Brewster is at war with himself because if he cares about someone, he will steal their pain and have many injuries. He has to decide whether to care or not. (man vs self)
Tennyson is also conflicting himself because in the beginning, he has to decide if he wants to let bronte date Brewster (he thinks Brewster is dangerous)
External: Uncle Hoyt vs Cody and Brew (m vs m)

Setting- In an unspecified school, at Tennyson and Bronte's house, at Brewster and Cody's uncle's house, lax field
Main characters- -Brewster (has a special secret power, Bronte's boyfriend)

Symbolism- the bruises, scars and cuts on Brewster symbolize the pain of other people he cares about
Theme- Pain is an essential part of life (without being able to cry, cringe at pain, or suffer, tenny and bronte and others suffer through life.)

1. Brew takes Bronte out on a date and Tennyson follows, confronting Brew about dating bronte
2. Tennyson spots Brew in the locker room; he has excessive scars and bruises on his back.
3. Tennyson follows brew home and their prized bull, Tri-Tip, is dead. THey are friends
4.Brewster steals bronte's pain when she falls in the park
5. Tennyson and bronte find out about brewster's power
6. Tenny and Bronte's parents are fighting constantly
7. Cody is beat by uncle hoyt
8. tenny saves cody from a cell tower
CLIMAX: bronte swims twenty laps to release her anger, but when she gets out of the pool she falls back in and is unconcious. Brew comes to save her but steals her pain. he is in a coma for awhile

CLIMAX:

1. brew is still in a coma
2. the dad moves out
RESOLUTION: Bruiser awakes without his power
