The lowest level of organization
Chemical level
Atoms
Are composed of all the chemicals necessary for maintaining life
Atoms joined in various ways to form

Cell
Is the basic structural and functional unit of the entire human being. Every single part of the body is composed of cells.
Tissues
Are groups of similar cells that perform specific functions.
The four basic types of tissues are

Tissues that cover internal and external surfaces of the body, including lining of vessels and organs, such as the stomach and intestines.
Connective tissue
Tissues that bind together and support the various structures.
