What will be learnt during Recruit Training?

During the 80 day Army Recruit Course you will be required to take part in physical training, weapon handling and shooting, first aid, drill and field craft.
You will learn how to wear your uniform correctly, and maintain your personal equipment and room to the standard required by the Army. |
How much is the recruit payed during recruit training?

$1,138 Per fortnight, plus $16 dollars a fortnight for uniform maintainence

What happens after you graduate Recruit training ?Where are you sent and what is learnt?

After Recruit Training, Recruits are now Soldiers and will be sent to their IET ( Initial Employment Training).For infantry this is held at the School Of Infantry in Singleton, NSW, where you will be trained in Infantry tactics, weapons and equipment

How long does IET at School of infantry last?

IET for Infantry lasts 71 days.

How much is the soldier payed during IET?
|
$1,300 Per fortnight plus $16 uniform maintainence

What happens after IET?
|
After completing IET your are now a soldier. You will now be assigned to a military base for further training

How much are you payed as a full time Rifleman?
|
$1,524 Per fornight, plus $16 uniform allowance, and $420 per fortnight service allowance.

How long must you remain in the army?
|
The minimum initial period of service for a rifleman is 4 years
