How do these three thing affect the Italian Renaissance?
Humanism Plague Fall of Constantinople |
Humanism is the belief or philosophy that all human beings have worth or value. The poet Petrarch was 1 of the early proponents of this idea which stressed the importance of education to improve the human condition.
The plague caused the population to crash which, in turn, caused the economy to crash also. Then both will boom back. A large middle class formed and few workers demanded better salaries than they ever did before. For the first time people could afford luxuries like education, books, and other nice things. The fall of Constantinople in 1435 forced refugees to flee to Italy. They would bring back ideas that have been forgotten by Europeans. |
