What is the spatial approach?

That all things are laid out, organized and arranged on the surface of the earth. It is inherently spatial

Describe the Robinson Projection
|
Does not have as much distortion as Mercator, focuses on coastlines and oceans

Shows an enlarged Russia and Europe

What is simplifaction?
|
It simplifies a map to make it easier (ex. territories on a map of Canada)

A map in which some thematic mapping variable such as electoral votes is substituted for land

Global Positioning System; uses satellites to determine exact locations on the global grid,latitude and longitude.
