Laws that Adams and Hamilton get congress to pass becasue they don't want french ideas (french revolutuion, poor raising up against elite) to come to America. It includes...Naturalization Acts- extends period must live in US to become a citizen (14 yrs)...Alien Act- president can deport dangerous aliens w/o due process of law...Alien Enemies Act-President can deport dangerous enemy aliens during war...Sedition Act-Makes a crime to critize government officals with false, scandalous, or malicious statements.

Adams sends 3 people to France to negotiate neutrality with Charlas Tallyrand but only allowed to talk to agents x,y, and, z unless they paid $250,000 in extortion money to talk to Tallyrand.

This was put in place to protect the voting from the uneducated class or the normal person so that they didnt elected someone who would be bad for the country. Popular Vote decides whoch electors will be able to vote.
